We really have something to celebrate - Cooking From the Heart has sold over 2,000 copies to date. It is ranked # 7 in the top 25 books from public university presses this week at booksXYZ.com, and it was The University of Minnesota Press's #1 Amazon seller.
Sami will talk about her journey as a writer at "OWC (Oregon Writers Colony) Presents!" this Monday evening, August 24, 7:00 p.m. at Looking Glass Bookstore in the Sellwood neighborhood (7983 SE 13th Ave - next to Grand Central Bakery). There will be Hmong snacks as well as her presentation called, "Notes From an Unlikely Author."

That's amazing! Great job you two. I haven't been able to get one yet, but it will be my first purchase when I finally get a job.
I just ordered a copy. I am glad to see that there is a cookbook out there that teaches the younger generation how to cook Hmong food. I am among this group and I believe that this type of book will enable me to be more confident in learning how to cook more Hmong food. I hope to see more of these types of cookbooks in the future.
Wonderful! I read thru your site and can't wait to buy the book for my wife. This is good stuff to have. Thank you. Will definitely pass the message to friends and acquaintances.
